Tanner turns 2!

Happy birthday to Tanner!!
We had a really fun day for Tanner's birthday. Motorcycles were one of his favorite gifts, along with trucks and lots more fun things.

He pushes the motorcycles along everywhere, it is so cute!

We played at home for awhile before dropping Katelyn off at her Day Camp.

Then we headed to lunch at Winger's. Tanner really liked the popcorn at the restaurant and played with his motorcycle the whole time we were there. After lunch we were going to go to the Petting Zoo while Katelyn finished her camp but Tanner fell asleep, so we'll do that another time.

He woke up in time to go shopping with Grandpa at Toys-R-Us and picked out some trucks and a ball. He had a great time doing that!

We had Pizza for dinner...Yummy!!Then we opened presents. Tanner was so funny. He just loved all the different presents and wanted to take each one out of the box and play with it right away before opening another, so it took quite awhile to get through them all. But we were in no rush and he had a great time. Katelyn was just as excited as Tanner to see all his new stuff. It was frustrating for her that he took so long to get through them!

We had a fire truck theme for his party so I did my best to do a fire truck cake. This is the face Tanner makes when he smiles for a picture. It's not very often that I catch a genuine smile on the camera, but I love this cheesy smile too.

He did a great job blowing out the candle...

...then dove right in and started licking the frosting off the cake. Katelyn wasted no time following his example. Needless to say, we served our guests from the other side of the cake.

We had a really fun time celebrating with Tanner! We are so grateful that we have such a sweet little boy. He is so funny and loves motorcycles, trucks, any type of ball, being outside, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ("mickey mow pow" as Tanner would say), and he adores Katelyn.
