1st Grader!

Today Katelyn started first grade. She wasn't too happy when she got up this morning and had to get dressed, eat breakfast, and get her hair done instead of watching cartoons and playing toys. She met her teachers and classmates at her Chinese Day Camp a couple weeks ago so she wasn't too nervous about going. She was a little scared about being at school for all day, and to be honest I was sad she was gone for so long too!


As you can tell in this next picture she didn't really want to leave for school. Once we headed down the street she cheered right up. When she saw some friends at school she chatted with them and went right in when they called her class, barely turning back to wave at me and Tanner. When she got home from school she told me that she was really scared going in!! She said she missed me while she was gone all day. I didn't even realize that she was so scared, poor girl.


I am so proud of her for being brave! It seemed like she was gone forever, what a long day for me at home worrying about her and wondering how she was doing. It seems like she's off to a great start so I'm hoping for a great year for my girl!!
