Chinese Day Camp

This past week Katelyn went to a Chinese day camp offered at her school in preparation for entering the Chinese Dual Immersion program. She had a great time seeing friends she knew already and making some new ones, plus she learned quite a few things just in the 5 days she went. She knows how to count to 10 and say several words, plus she can read and write several chinese symbols. It will be fun to see what she takes in through this school year doing this every day.

The first day of Chinese day camp:

The last day of camp with all her projects inside this box that she painted Chinese words on:

She really had a great time and I'm sure that having done this week long camp will make it easier for her to jump into first grade! Great job Katelyn!!
