Anyway this year the kids are old enough to ask (beg) to go camping and we did a trial run in our backyard in August. We put the tent together then carried it to the backyard when we were ready to stay out there so the dogs wouldn't "help".

Kind of Camping, But Not Really
So, due to lots of lame reasons and really no good excuse, Brandon and I haven't taken the kids camping. EVER. I know, lame right? They have had a great time sleeping in Tanner's tent he got for Christmas. That is a lot of fun for them:
Anyway this year the kids are old enough to ask (beg) to go camping and we did a trial run in our backyard in August. We put the tent together then carried it to the backyard when we were ready to stay out there so the dogs wouldn't "help".
The kids were so excited! This little sleepout kept them happy and bought us some time while we planned our real camping trip.
