Tanner, Michelle, Whitley, Justin, and Ava all have birthdays in July, so Grandma René threw a big birthday party for all the cousins that were there (Tyler was the only cousin not there). She included Katelyn and Ryan too of course, and it may as well have been Christmas! The kids had a good time opening a bunch of presents.
What's a birthday party without cake and ice cream?
The next day we went to the zoo.
(Side note: For anyone who's heard Katelyn talking about her future husband Justin, here he is. Yes, her COUSIN Justin. And she is very serious when she talks about marrying him. I keep telling her to keep her options open...hoping that one day she'll find someone outside the family that she's interested in.)

It was so HOT that even the kids were starting to be miserable outside. They got to the point where they didn't even care to see more animals.
So we rode the train, then packed up and went home.
Despite the heat, it was a great adventure!

Apparently the bird show was a huge hit. We have heard a lot about that. We also were told that we needed to either move in with Grammy and Papa or move in by you!!
