Pool Party!

We went to a pool party yesterday at my friend Mel's house.

The minute Katelyn got her arm floaties on she jumped into the water without hesitation. She got spoiled with Shayla and Mel pulling her around in the inflatable boat. She also used a kickboard and Mel helped her practice her swimming techniques. Very helpful, since we never did get around to those swimming lessons this summer. After just a couple of minutes Katelyn was going back and forth between the sides of the pool without help! (Other than the arm bands. And the kickboard. But you know. Still good!)

Tanner was more hesitant to get in the water at first. I think because it was kind of cold, so I wasn't getting in (I know - I'm a great big wimp). But anywhere there is a ball to play with, Tanner is completely occupied and happy. The problem was that he didn't want to jump in and get it after throwing it in the water and he would nearly fall in trying to reach for it.

Me and the cute little Kiddos.

Finally, Jericca and I were brave enough to take the plunge into the cool water. With a big push from Shayla to speed things up!

Jericca, Shayla, and me.

Swimming and playing in the water- Lounging by the hot tub and catching up with friends- Getting some sun (slight burn too but that's okay)- GOOD TIMES!!
We had so much fun! Thanks Mel for having us over!

Cute pictures, Jess! It was great to have you guys! Good times indeed! Thanks for helping me with my blog, too. Illiterate computer person that I am, I can't get it to change to something different again! Help! I need you again! Glad you guys could come--incidently, Chris turned the pool temperature up to 82 degrees last night! Love you!
