Boy Crazy

Katelyn is boy crazy.

This is not a surprise to anyone who's met her. When she was just tiny, like 1 or 2 years old, she was already talking about boys, boyfriends, and husbands. When she was 3, she was given a stuffed Diego (you know, Dora the Explorer's cousin?) that was almost as tall as she was. She carried it everywhere with her, sleeping with him in her bed, taking him down the slide with her, watching TV with him. And she called him her husband. When she watched Dora, at the end when Dora asked what your favorite part of the adventure was Katelyn would immediately answer, "When you show my husband Diego."

Her next serious crush was her cousin Justin. I'm not sure this one isn't completely over, to be honest with you. For the longest time, it was all about Justin. When she was 3 and getting her soccer picture taken the photographer was having a little trouble getting Katelyn to give him a good smile. Brandon told him, "Just ask her who she is going to marry." Katelyn answered "Justin" with gave a great big smile and he snapped the picture. (Which turned out adorable, by the way.)

In preschool last year there were a whole bunch of new cute boys that I would hear all about. She was always changing her mind about who she was going to marry.

And then, who can forget about Nick? And again, when we saw Nick bussing tables?

Well, Katelyn came home from school today with exciting news. News I shouldn't really be surprised about, considering her boy crazy history. She and Ashton KISSED today at recess. ON THE LIPS. And according to Katelyn she LOVES him and is going to kiss him at recess EVERY DAY.

I'm considering homeschooling.

Oh my gosh I'm laughing so hard right now! I think you might be in for some trouble if she's already kissin' on the lips! :) She's so cute...I'm sure all the boys have a little crush on her!

Just wait...she'll be one of those girls who because she already likes boys & plays with them, she'll get along with them much better than girls. Then all of her friends will be boys & she won't be interested in actually dating them. Hold on to that for now:)

Wow Jess. You better keep a close eye on her. Do parents talk to their kids about the birds and bees before age 7 these days?
