Katelyn's School

Katelyn's first day of preschool was this last Monday. The first day was an open house to go meet her teacher and a scavenger hunt to get familiar with the classroom. She was so EXCITED to go! Not that you can tell from this picture.....

She really likes going to school and getting dropped off.

She likes to take Bunny to school with her but she has to leave him in her backpack. I think I'll keep him home after this first week.

When the kids get to school they have to sign in on the board. They can do a little circle or the first letter of their name or whatever they want. She was the first one there today so she wrote her whole name in really big letters on the board.

This is such an exciting step. She has been involved in a preschool program since she was 2 years old but I was taking her part time. This school is 4 days a week for 3 hours a day so I think (and hope) that she will really learn a lot. It's hard to have her gone so much but I think Tanner enjoys having his own time without Katelyn trying to steal the show :) She is really smart but has a hard time sitting still so it is good for her to be in a class with really great, patient teachers!
